  • Billing

    • Is there a discount for paying my annual bill in full all at once?

There is a $4 quarterly charge for each bill issued.  If your account is paid in full on or before July 31, you will only pay a one-time account charge of $4.

    • Do I have to pay the full amount all at once?

No. You may make the minimum (quarterly) payment amount listed on your bill. If you choose to do so, you will receive a bill every quarter until your balance is paid in full.
    • How do I pay my bill?

The best way to pay your bill is online. To do so, click here and select the Sewer option. Make sure you accurately enter your 10-digit account number. Errors in your account number will prevent your payment from being properly credited.

You can also pay the bill in-person at our offices, utilize the drop box at our front entrance, or mail your payment to our Los Angeles processing center.

      Mail payments to:

      Clark County Water Reclamation District
      PO Box 512210
      Los Angeles CA 90051-0210

If you are using your bank’s Bill Pay feature to remit payment, please make sure you provide this correct mailing address.

Do not include notes or other correspondence with your mailed payment; they will be discarded.

You may use a credit/debit card or a check to pay your bill by phone. Phone payments are available 24 hours a day at (855) 939-2640. When you pay by card, online or over the phone, there is a 2.95% convenience fee.  The convenience fee, collected by our online payment provider for managing the credit card service, is associated with recovering the costs of credit and debit payment transactions.

    • What is my bill for?

Your sewer service bill is for clean water. The Clark County Water Reclamation District maintains a collection system of pipelines under the streets, delivering the wastewater from the homes and businesses to the treatment facilities. The District's treatment facilities are operated 24 hours each day, 7 days per week, cleaning wastewater to meet industry-leading standards.

    • When is my bill due?

Your bill’s due date is listed on the left side of your bill, in the Important Information section.
    • What happens if I don't pay my sewer service fees?

Unpaid sewer service charges are the responsibility of the property owner. The unpaid balance, including penalty fees, is added to the property tax rolls for collection purposes.

    • Why do I pay a higher rate for having a swimming pool?

Swimming pools are drained into the sanitary sewer system, thereby contributing to the wastewater treatment system, in addition to what a residential unit contributes.

  • Property & Ownership

    • How do I change Ownership / Billing Information?

If you have purchased a new property, please allow two weeks after the recording of the deed for us to update ownership records. If you wish to verify the change, you may contact us at the appropriate email address below.

      Residential customers: email residential@cleanwaterteam.com
      Commercial customers: email commercial@cleanwaterteam.com

The same account number remains with the property at all times. Only the name of the legal owner can be changed. Your property is always connected to the sewer system. Unlike other utilities (water, power, natural gas), there is no means to shut off sewer service to a property. As long as the property is connected to the sewer system, all fees and charges apply.

    • How do I get the bill mailed to the tenant instead of me?

Please email us at customerservice@cleanwaterteam.com and provide the tenant information. Note that the property owner is responsible for any balance owed on the service billing.
    • I am paying for sewer service at multiple properties. Can I submit one payment to cover all of them?

To ensure your payment is properly processed, submit one payment per property.
    • Can I turn off service?

Your property is always connected to the sewer system. Unlike other utilities (water, power, natural gas), there is no means to shut off sewer service to a property. As long as the property is connected to the sewer system, all fees and charges apply.

    • I am on a fixed income, can I get a reduced rate?

We offer a quarterly payment plan. You may also qualify for a monthly payment plan if you or your family occupy the service property and your income for the previous calendar year did not exceed the poverty level maximum gross income as stipulated by the Federal Poverty Guidelines.

    • My home was involved in a fire, can I turn off my service?

If the property is damaged to the point it cannot be occupied, email residential@cleanwaterteam.com. Attach a copy of the Fire Report, if available.
    • How are rates determined?

A rate resolution has been adopted by the District's Board of Trustees. The rates are charged on an equity basis, as the pipelines and treatment facilities are built to provide enough capacity for each customer. Residential customers are billed according to their structural classification (single family home, condominium, mobile home, etc.). Commercial customers are also billed by their category.

    • I removed my mobile home, how can I turn off service?

A licensed plumber can cap off the lateral connection, and the account can be placed in an inactive status.
